Webhosting - How I Choose the Best Hosting Control Panel

There are 4 primary hosting control panels that most hosts offer for you to choose from. These are typically:
- Helm
- Cpanel
- DirectAdmin
- Plesk
Each of these has their own set of advantages, and yes, disadvantages too. I've done a lot of work with all four platforms over the years, but one has consistently out performed the other control panels. The control panel software I speak of is Helm. Time and time again Helm has continued to impress me with its great features and smooth interface. Sure, Helm has some downsides too, but compared to the other 3 platforms this control panel is flawless.
The feature that really stands out about Helm is their already built in billing system that allows you to receive payment via Paypal, check, or credit card. Helm can currently receive payment from 13+ sources.
Helm is also very scalable and customizable. They have designed their framework in such a way that its very easy to add or enhance the features of the Helm control panel. Helm can handle all Windows server extensions, including FrontPage. Helm has many extensions to support languages from PHP to ColdFusion, in fact Helm supports all popular file types used today.
My favorite thing about Helm is the fact that almost everything is automated. These automated features make it easy to get things done and cut back on support. But most importantly Helm's automation is going to save you a lot of time and money.
What really makes Helm stand out from the rest of the pack is how simple Helm is to use, and a learning curve that is easy to get by. Helm is great for both the novice and experienced server admins.
Cpanel, DirectAdmin, and Plesk really can't compare to the features and functionality that Helm offers.
