Sharepoint Services - How to Edit a Calendar Event

Okay, we all know the scenario. You have an event scheduled for a set date and time and you have notified the people that will need to be in attendance. Then, as always, someone realizes that they cannot do that date and you have to reorganize the entire event. Ordinarily, this would be a disaster. Not the case when you are using Sharepoint services!

At this point, if you are reading this article I will assume that you already use the service and have set a date for the event you are now trying to reschedule. The purpose of this article is to show you how to edit the time and date of an event you have already loaded into your SP calendar.

This process is extremely simple, none-the-less I have chosen to write a how to article on it simply because if there is anyone like me out there they will appreciate being able to find instructions on it rather than waste time trying to figure it out.

Here we go.

1. Log in to your Sharepoint Services account.
2. Once you have logged in, direct your attention toward the calendar in the middle of your page. Once you have located your event, click on it.
3. When your event opens up in a new window, there will be a tab in the menu bar that is entitled "Edit Item". Select that tab.
4. Next you will be taken to a page that allows you to edit your event. Here you can change the date and time accordingly.
5. After you have completed this, move to the bottom of the page and you will see an "OK" tab. Click on that and you have completed your edit.

And there you have it! I warned you about the simplicity of this task. Sharepoint services has defiantly taken the term simple to the next level.

Until our next "How To" rendezvous!

Good Web Hosting

Web hosting service is not a subject to take lightly. Choose
the wrong web host and you can find yourself stuck in A
Webmasters Nightmare on Dot Com Street. Months and even
years of hard work can go down the tubes when your web site
is faced with the inability to grow. The trick is to find a
web hosting plan that will expand with your web site.

When you search for a hosting plan, be sure the web hosting
servers are able to support the most common programming
languages and features such as PHP, ASP, Java and CGI Pearl
scripts. Even if you won't use them right away, having these
options now can save you a ton of headaches later. At some
point you'll likely want more than a static web site.

Good web hosting providers will allow FTP access via clients
such as Microsoft Front Page or Dream Weaver, even if they
provide an online editor. Sometimes you will find the need
to upload and install programs to your web hosting server.
Be certain you can upload third party software, which saves
time in having to program software yourself.

Web hosting packages often come with a free domain name with
a hosting plan. You'll want a web host who can host your
domain name, but it's always best to purchase your domain.
In the event you ever need to move to a different web host,
you wont be stuck buying the domain from the domain hosting
or web hosting company who will likely overcharge you.

Whenever possible, buy your domain name and hosting packages
a year or two in advance. There is some speculation that
major search engines place more emphasis on web sites who's
hosting and domain name have been purchased anywhere from
one to five years or more. Avoid web host's who only charge
monthly, even if that's all you can afford right now.

Web hosting server up time is critical to a web sites
performance. Be sure a servers up time is above 98 percent.
Many boast 99 percent server up time, so it isn't hard to
find a reliable server. The last thing you want is for your
visitors to find your site only to discover the server is
down. Many first time visitors won't return to a "broken
site".

Web hosting providers often offer free domain E-mail and sub
domains along with your hosting plan. E-mail at your domain,
and sub domains are a good thing to have. You'll want as
many E-mail addresses and sub domains as you can get. Make
sure your web host provides a way to purchase more without
having to upgrade your entire hosting package.

A good web hosting service will usually provide free
software, scripts, and forms. This can save webmasters and
developers a whole lot of time that could be better spent in
marketing. As a rule of thumb, the more free web hosting
tools a web host provides, the better. Not only do these
freebies save time, they will save you money too.

When your web hosting service can support many programming
languages, FTP access, software or file uploads, hosting and
domain name hosting for extended periods, plus free domain
E-mail and sub domains that can be purchased separately,
along with free scripts and tools, with good server up time,
you'll have the backbone in place for a successful, dynamic,
and expandable web site.

Madden 09 For Xbox 360 Review

Madden 09 may be the best madden to date. It has tons of new features and great graphics. My favorite new feature is the "My skill". It has you take 4 test one for Offensive Running, Offensive Passing, Rush Defense, and Pass Defense. Each test test your skill in that area in a neon like field. It give you a rank for each skill called your "Madden IQ".

Then when you play a game it sets the difficulty level to how you did in the test. The best part is if in a game you did great running the ball but bad defending the pass your next game when you run the ball the difficulty will be turned up and next time you are defending the pass the difficulty will go down.

Another new feature is the "EA Rewind". This lets you "rewind" or replay a certain number of plays each game. This feature is more for the people who are new to the game. One thing I noticed while playing this game is they finally got rid of John Maddens annoying voice.=D. Sorry John but 19 years of commentary is enough. John is being replaced with Tom Hammond and Cris Collinsworth who are annoying also but what announcer isn't. Hell there still better then John. Another feature I like about this game is the "rivalry games".

Many maddens before this one have had rivalry games but the difference is that in this game all rivalry(and playoff in dynasty mode) are harder to play. So now Tom Brady can't exactly just plow his way threw the Jets he will have to use some skill. There are also some new Online features. You can now make a "league" which can hold up to 32 players, be password protected and so on.

In a league you can set up a season and even have playoff games against each other. The controls are great the highlight stick is back and better then ever. If there was anything I could change about this game it would be some kind of online fantasy draft. Overall it is a good game and I give it a 8.5 out of 10.

Please message me at razzjets94@aol.com for questions on the game or to request a review for a different game.
